First day of Summer

Today was so great. The gang and I went to a ropes course to do some team building stuff to make sure that we can function together. We had SO MUCH FUN!!! The actual challenge course was a little annoying (everyone was hungry and we didn't really want to do anything lol). We did a pretty good job at completing the challenges. I guess that means that the summer is off to a great start!

After training, we all went to Olive Garden and one of the guys got a glass of wine. Now, my friend isn't very well versed in alcohol so me and the other guy counselor had to coach him what to get in the first place and then he got really intoxicated after 4 sips. It was hilarious and great team bonding. We all will be making fun of him for this for the entire camp season.

I am so excited for this summer. I've had a pretty rough year and really need this off, fun time. I should try and get some sleep for tomorrow...

Let's Start at the Very Beginning

I have decided to start a blog about my life. I have a few other blogs, one about my year in France and another (that I'm starting) about my life with TMJ but, I feel as if I need one to just vent about my ridiculous life.

I am a 20 year old (almost 21 year old. 2 months and 19 days till my birthday, not that I'm counting...) college student studying French and International Relations and Diplomacy. I'm not really sure what I want to do with my life so, I'm just getting a degree in something I love; French. I lived in France for a year (11 months) between high school and college. I love coloring books, eating chapstick, typing a lot of text really fast, the girls that I babysit, archery, camp, tye-dye and SO MUCH MORE!!! I dislike styrofoam, crutches, ignorant people who yell at you when they realize that you are partially deaf, brushing my hair, wearing socks and again, SO MUCH MORE!

I'm going to use this blog to chronicle my summer in small-town Ohio. I love it here and have grown up here but, it's a lot different from the big city where I go to school at. I'm working at a christian summer camp this summer just like last summer and have been counting down the days for about a year now, well however long it's been since the last day of camp last year. Tomorrow is our first day of training and I'm so pumped that I can't sleep. Well, that and the fact that I have a jaw problem that makes sleeping almost impossible. I am also deaf in my left ear due to it. This summer will probably have a lot of crazy moments due to that, I can already tell.

I will try and get some sleep now. We're going to a ropes course in the morning and doing some team bonding. There are 5 staff members (4 counselors and the director). Everyone is returning from last year except for the girl counselor. I'm so pumped!!!
